Foot, knee or leg pain?

Feet and legs are vital for mobility and balance and are the basis of most people’s daily activities, so it’s no wonder most people suffer foot, knee or leg pain at some point in their lives.
But what can be done about it?
Experts at Foot and Leg Pain Clinics have been able to shed some light on common foot and leg concerns.
Foot, heel, ankle, knee and hip pain, injury and arthritis are often misdiagnosed and incorrectly treated so it’s important to find an experienced musculoskeletal or sports podiatrist to assist.
Bad foot posture can continually pull the body out of alignment which can contribute to undue stress on other joints and tissues.
Traditional treatments such as cortisone, anti-inflammatory medications and joint arthroscopies have been found to delay healing and cause further tissue damage in many cases so it’s important to get accurate advice from someone who particularly specialises in foot and leg concerns.
Thanks to the latest research and treatments there are now effective, natural medical options such as Prolotherapy and PRP (platelet rich plasma) to help heal injuries and assist degenerative conditions such as arthritis.
“By combining regenerative treatments with a sound knowledge of musculoskeletal medicine, biomechanics and load management strategies we can assist stresses through joints and tissues, aid or eradicate pain, increase mobility, repair injuries and regenerate tissues – safely and naturally,” said Foot and Leg Pain Clinics’ Dr David Kavanagh, musculoskeletal podiatrist and foot and leg pain expert.
Dr Kavanagh is available for appointments at Foot and Leg Pain Clinics in Geelong and Werribee by calling 1300 328 300.
