Police have arrested a 41-year-old woman after an alleged bottle attack in the Little Malop Street mall.
Officers swooped on the woman in Corio Street shortly after the incident, about 3.15pm on Wednesday 2 November.
Geelong Sergeant Ron Gray said the woman reportedly threw a glass bottle at a man in the mall.
Witnesses later reported her brandishing a knife and screaming wildly at a man as she followed him south down Moorabool Street.
It was unknown if the man and the woman were known to each other.
Police were tracking down the alleged victim shortly after they arrested the woman to get his version of events.
Little Malop Street mall is a well-known trouble spot for police in Geelong, Sgt Gray said.
“There’s always something happening in the mall.”
Sgt Gray encouraged witnesses or anyone with information regarding the incident to phone Geelong Police Station on 5225 3100 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
