CITY of Greater Geelong is renewing its push to attract business and industry to the region.
The City has joined forces with State Government to fund Hit Geelong, an on-line campaign to attract investment.
Councillor Rod Macdonald, who holds council’s economic development portfolio, said $151,000 initiative sought a “new generation” of investors.
“We’ll completely freshen up our digital presence with an upgraded interactive website and the use of social media. We want our online presence to be significantly impactive and inspirational in its appeal to potential investors.”
The Government’s parliamentary secretary for regional development, Damien Drum, said the Hit Geelong website would provide compelling information for investing in the city.
The campaign would attract a vast national and international audience of potential investors as part of a Government push for regional development, he said.
“We remain committed to creating new opportunities for economic growth.”
