Police raid’s murder link

By NOEL MURPHY

A MAN will be charged with minor offences following a police raid on an Armstrong Creek house last weekend.
Homicide Squad police raided the Tennyson Close house as part of ongoing investigations into the suspected murder of Leopold’s Paul Kingsbury.
The raid discovered chemicals unrelated to drugs or the suspected murder, Detective Senior Sergeant Boris Buick told the Independent.
“The raid was executed in relation to the furtherance of the investigation of the suspected murder of Paul Kingsbury.
“No one has been charged with murder but some things were found that will lead to charges but nothing to do with murder as such and we’re still ongoing with that investigation.
“We know who took him to be killed and we know who killed him but we need someone to come forward with evidence.
“There’s enough people who know what happened – you’d have heard the jungle drums.”
Police have so far charged two men with false imprisonment and kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of Mr Kingsbury, who was last seen at Moolap on 6 July.
Homicide detectives believe he was murdered the same day.
