Police have discovered three people unconscious on a boat circling out of control half a kilometre off St Leonards.
Police believe the two men and a woman, who were taken to hospital, might have been victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Builder appointed
Melbourne-based Monaco Hickey will redevelop Barwon Water’s new headquarters in central Geelong, the water authority has announced.
Barwon Water said the project, which has been costed at $25 million, would create up to 100 construction jobs in a “boost for the regional economy”.
Health closure
A year-long closure of Drysdale Community Health Centre will force residents to leave town for some medical services, its operator has warned.
Bellarine Community Health said the centre would temporarily close from June for a “major refurbishment and extension”, with patients advised to visit clinics at Portarlington and Pont Lonsdale during the closure.
Guns stolen
Two antique guns stolen from Newcomb’s Amazing Mill Markets could be used for criminal activities, police fear.
Investigators are studying surveillance images to identify who broke into a display cabinet to steal the two 1860s rifles on Sunday night.
Anzac lighting
Geelong’s City Hall will light up with a special Anzacs tribute this month, Mayor Darryn Lyons has announced.
He said an “incredibly powerful lighting show” would emblazon the building with Anzac imagery nightly from 17 April to 3 May.

A police warning for householders to lock up over Easter follows a spate of burglaries along the Surf Coast.
Police said homes left unattended over the Easter long weekend were targets for criminals, with coastal towns like Anglesea recently recording increased rates of burglary.
