Parts of missing man found at drug house

Dead: Yengo Faugere.Dead: Yengo Faugere.

THE DISCOVERY of human remains at a St Leonards house has prompted a Homicide Squad appeal for information.
Victoria Police revealed the remains of Yengo Faugere, 23, were discovered at a Manifold Rd house where police uncovered a drug lab last month.
Mr Faugere was last seen alive at his Maribyrnong home on October 19.
Police raided the St Leonards house along with a number of other properties on February 7, seizing about $15 million worth of amphetamine, cash and guns. Police had launched an intense investigation of Mr Faugere’s disappearance.
His mother, Florrie Pinto, said her son expressed fears for his safety to his housemate before disappearing
Her son was an outgoing person who became increasingly concerned about his safety after moving from New South Wales to Melbourne last year, she said.
Homicide Squad Detective Inspector John Potter said police wanted to provide Mr Faugere’s family with closure. “Unfortunately, we know he died in violent circumstances and we have partial remains. What we don’t know at this stage, however, is where or how he was killed,” Det Insp Potter said.
“Was it at another location? Who was involved?
“These are the questions we need answers to and certainly his family needs answers to.
“Investigators would like to remind those who know what happened that they can remain anonymous.”
Det Insp Potter urged anyone with information to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit crimestoppers.com.au.
