THE SURF Coast will be written into the lyrics of a new album for Melbourne trio The Little Stevies.
The band will embark on a coast tour from Queenscliff to Apollo Bay this January.
Guitarist and vocalist Bethany Stephen told the Independent the coastal escapade would inspire the new album.
“If you haven’t been doing crazy unusual stuff you don’t get motivated, so we hope the coast will be another little adventure for us,” she said.
“We tend to write songs about our experiences so a little piece of the coast may be incorporated into songs that are yet to be written. We holiday down at these areas and over January particularly the vibe going on is really fun.”
Stephen said the band would play at all age venues across the coast to encourage families to come along together.
“We’re like the people that come to see us, we like an early show and not getting on stage at midnight.”
The Little Stevies play Queenscliff Uniting Church on January 4, Torquay Senior Citizens Hall on January 5, Apollo Bay Anglican Church on January 6 and Lorne Uniting Church on January 8.
