Cousins to gobble a turkey thanks to eagle-eyed Janis

Geelong’s in a flap over the Talkin’ Turkey.
The unique Christmas game has readers hunting for five turkeys hidden in the ads of their favourite community newspaper.
The Indy plucks five names from the draw to each win a turkey as part of the paper’s Five Weeks of Christmas promotion.
East Geelong’s Janis Belcher was momentarily silent when the Indy phoned this week to declare: “Gobble gobble! You’re a Talkin’ Turkey winner”.
“You little beauty,” Janis finally managed.
“I’ve got cousins coming around for Christmas lunch and was thinking, ‘Ohh, the expense’. Now we’ll be dining in style!”
This week’s other winners were Latisha Laney, Kiro Bogdanovski, Paul Vetter and Marlene Eggleton.
They all found turkeys hidden in the ads of Geelong Diva, Geelong Pacing Cup, Scooters Australia, Web and Warehouse, and Mike Hanneysee Car Sales.
Talkin’ Turkey has three more weeks to run, so start pecking apart today’s ads for next week’s draw.
Entries must name each of the five businesses with a turkey and include the entrant’s name and phone number.
To lodge entries, email indy@geelongindy.com.au; leave a message on the Talkin’ Turkey hotline, 5249 6721; or deliver in person during business hours to the office of the Indy, first floor, 74-78 Moorabool St, Geelong.
