Cats stars to prowl Casey fund-raiser

GEELONG Football Club’s senior players and coaching staff will attend a fund-raiser for paralysed local footy star Casey Tutungi next week, the club has announced.
A Cats spokesperson said each of the 46 players and coaches would be assigned to a table at The Pier.
Master of Ceremonies Craig Willis would introduce entertainment including famed Geelong father-son musical duo Cameron and Taylor Henderson, the spokesperson said.
Premier Denis Napthine would also attend “to lend a hand to the appeal”.
Tutungi, a former VFL-listed Cats player, was left a quadriplegic after colliding head-first with an opponent while playing for South Barwon in Geelong Football League in June.
The Cats spokesperson said the fund-raiser would also include auctions with item including a Fender guitar signed by Australian band Jet.
A Kokoda Track trip worth $5500, a night for two in Channel 7’s commentary box, five nights on Magnetic Island and a corporate golf day for 40 players would also be up for grabs.
The spokesperson said the event would begin 7.30pm Wednesday, with tickets costing $200 a head or $1900 for a table of 10 by phoning the Cats’ events department on 5225 2315.
