Police arrest pair over ‘theft series’

In brief

Police have arrested two men over a series of thefts stretching from the Bellarine Peninsula to Colac.
The incidents included the alleged theft of a spa and a boat on a trailer from Indented Head, which was reported in the 17 June Geelong Indy.
Police arrested the pair after executing a search warrant in an industrial area at Drysdale on 24 June.
Geelong Criminal Investigation Unit and Bellarine police led the search which uncovered various allegedly stolen items.
Items recovered included property which was allegedly stolen recently from several areas across the division, police posted on Facebook this week.
“These included a caravan stolen from Colac, a spa pool from Indented Head, a boat and trailer stolen from Indented Head (and) numerous sets of stolen number plates,” police posted.
Police arrested and charge a Clifton Springs man in his mid-30s and a 45-year-old man from Portarlington.
“Police would like to thank the community for their support and information in regards to this matter.”
