MonaLisa treatment now here

THE NEW MonaLisa Touch Laser at Australian Skin Face Body is changing women’s lives.
After going through early menopause in her early 40s, Sue put up with vaginal discomfort, dryness and painful intercourse for years until her GP introduced her to Dr Fariba Behnia-Willison.
Vaginal atrophy, the medical term for vaginal dryness, affects more than four in 10 menopausal and post-menopausal women.
The drop in hormone levels during menopause can result in a thinning and loss of elasticity of the vaginal walls, reduced blood supply and natural lubrication.
Dr Behnia-Willison has successfully treated more than 2000 patients from her Adelaide-based clinic.
“MonaLisa Touch is suitable for women of all ages experiencing symptoms related to vaginal atrophy, including vaginal dryness or itching, urinary urgency and incontinence, burning sensations and irritations of the vagina, fissuring of the vagina opening, vaginal laxity, pain during intercourse,” says Dr Behnia-Willison.
The MonaLisa Touch therapy uses non-surgical, minimally invasive CO2 laser treatment to renew the cells in the vaginal wall.
Up to three treatments are typically required, four to six weeks apart. Most patients see improvements after the first session.
“The process is quick – it’s a walk-in and walk-out procedure and for most patients it’s painless,” says Dr Behnia-Willison.
