Buckets and Bouquets

BUCKETS to all the smokers at Moorabool St’s bus stops. I am an elderly pensioner but can’t even sit down at the bus stops any more because I am forced to keep dodging all the disgusting smoke. Why put up signs if penalties don’t apply.
Joan, Grovedale

BOUQUETS to the lovely Claire and Emily at Decjuba Newtown for exceptional customer service when they obtained an item and honoured a terrific discount for me. I will certainly be warm this winter.
Amanda, Highton

BUCKETS to a caravan dealer for yelling and screaming at us to never come back when told the after-sales service was terrible. It was not nice, especially since we had bought two new caravans from the dealership in the past 15 years. The dealer forgot we talk to many caravaners.
Never Again, Drysdale

BUCKETS to the person or persons who left dog poo on my nature strip four times. Anyone unprepared to pick up after their dog should not have one. It is courteous to have manners for other people’s yards.
L Mitchell, Hamlyn Heights

BOUQUETS to plumber Neil Biffin. I phoned him after hours and he arrived promptly on time the next day. He efficiently attended to a bad blockage. I thank Neil for his clean, knowledgeable work and recommend his services.
Elderly Lady, Belmont

BOUQUETS to the lovely people at the Kodak print shop in Geelong West. They are always willing to help with a smile, good prices and excellent prints.
90th Birthday, Geelong West

BUCKETS to the low-lives who stole large bunches of flowers and cards, including mine, placed at a war memorial for Anzac Day. Many bunches were placed on Saturday but missing on Sunday. The lack of respect for our diggers and their families was very disappointing.
Lest We Forget, St Albans Park

BOUQUETS to a pipe band that attended a Barwon Heads Anzac Day service. Many, many wreaths were laid at the monument while the piper played. It was a truly splendid effort on his part to play for so long.
Christine, Barwon Heads

BUCKETS to an insurer that leaves a lot to be desired. No process, no fairness, no discussion, no customer service, no empathy, no reimbursements, no responsibility and false advertising. All drivers should avoid colliding with anyone the company insures or be left out of pocket.
Imagine If I Was Liable, Corio

BUCKETS to Geelong Cats fans. Shame, shame, shame. I was extremely disappointed by their lack of respect for umpires at the Kangaroos game. The consistent booing and foul language was appalling, especially on the Anzac weekend, which represents brotherhood and a united front.
Disappointed Citizen, Bell Post Hill

BUCKETS to Former Agent (Buckets & Bouquets, 24 April). If you thought some of your vendors wanted too much for their homes, you should have declined their business. But that would have been the honourable thing to do.
Former Vendor, Newtown

BOUQUETS to Jude and the Barwon Heads hall committee for the twilight market initiative on Anzac Day eve. A great venue with fantastic food, wine and local crafts with music for all. Do it again, folks.
Maralyn, Barwon Heads
