Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman after another woman was located seriously injured in Thomson on the weekend.
Emergency services were called to an address on Godfrey Street and found a 68-year-old woman injured inside, about 4pm on Sunday, 10 March.
She was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
A 57-year-old woman was arrested at the scene.
It is alleged the parties were known to one another.
The Thomson woman has been charged with aggravated burglary, intentionally cause serious injury, and intentionally cause injury.
She has been remanded to appear at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court today.
