Cricket resumes

Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association resumes tomorrow (Saturday January 7) with a round of one-day matches.

In A1 Grade, Queenscliff hosts Barrabool in what looms as the game of the round.

The Coutas are third and the Bulls are fourth with both sides in good form before the break.

Ocean Grove hosts a stuttering Jan Juc and needs to start racking up some points to play finals.

Jan Juc was awful, being all out for 41 in the round before the break and will be playing to keep second spot on the ladder.

Armstrong Creek hosts Anglesea in another intriguing clash.

Anglesea lost its first game in 55 starts last round while the Titans are bowling well.

Inverleigh can put 21 points between it and bottom side St Leonards with a win tomorrow.

Inverleigh has relished playing the role of giant killers in the past two rounds, defeating top two sides Anglesea and Jan Juc, but it will enter this game as strong favourites.

In A2 Grade, Drysdale hosts Wallington in a huge game between the second and third placed teams.

Top team Barwon Heads travels to take on fifth placed Portarlington while Winchelsea should keep its finals hopes alive when it hosts Newcomb.

Collendina has the bye.
