The Eagles led by seven goals at the last break and looked headed for a convincing win, but the Centurions had other ideas and launched a spirited and amazing comeback.

They scored to put themselves one goal down but on the restart, the siren sounded to signal a win for East Geelong in a game that both sides would have proud of.

Centurions captain and star defender Amanda O’Malley won the medal for best player on the court.

Werribee Centrals has won five A Grade flags since 2013, but it was East Geelong’s turn to break through.

For the Eagles it was a bountiful day. Not only did the A Grade side bring hom the flag, the reserves football and the Under 17s and Under 15s netball teams also won.
