Police call for information on attempted armed robbery

Detectives from Western Region Crime Squad are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man believed to be involved in an attempted armed robbery in Manifold Heights.

Police allege a man entered a service station in Aberdeen Street, Manifold Heights about 4.20am on Friday, February 18 and produced a weapon, demanding cash from the attendant.

He then allegedly fled empty handed on foot towards Aberdeen Street.

Police believe the man then got into a blue Ford Falcon sedan parked nearby and drove away.

The attendant was not physically injured.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in his mid-20s, clean shaven, medium build, average height, wearing a white Everlast hooded jumper, black pants, black shoes, dark sunglasses and a white surgical face mask.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report at crimestoppersvic.com.au.
