Playwrights, actors, set designers and stage hands from across the state gathered at Anglesea on the weekend for the seventeenth-annual One Act Play Festival.
Anglesea Performing Arts president Nikki Watson said the talent of performers was overwhelming.
The festival showcased a variety of plays from theatre companies across Victoria.
Three local theatre companies entered this year, with Tom Halls winning best production and original piece categories and Lisa Berry taking out best actress.
“It was good to get some local awards,” Ms Watson said.
She was also “thrilled” with the size of audiences.
“On the Saturday there were over 150 people in the audience and on Sunday there were more than 100,” Ms Watson said.
“The festival was a great success and we are grateful for all the community support.”
