Geelong star Patrick Dangerfield will be “out of action indefinitely” after undergoing surgery for an ankle injury he sustained in the Cats’ win over North Melbourne last Sunday.
Scans revealed a syndesmosis injury and following further assessment of his injured right ankle, he underwent surgery, the Cats confirmed this evening.
The club was unable to give a timeframe for the explosive midfielder’s return.
“Dangerfield will be out of action indefinitely, with his rehabilitation and recovery from the injury determining his return to play,” the club said in a statement.
