Geelong forward Jeremy Cameron will miss the start of the 2021 AFL season and round 2 after suffering a hamstring strain at training.
The 27-year-old felt a twinge at the end of Wednesday’s session and a scan revealed the strain.
“Jeremy has started his rehabilitation program but will not be available for at least the opening two rounds,” Cats football general manager Simon Lloyd said this morning.
The injury comes after the 2019 Coleman Medallist and former GWS Giant suffered a hamstring issue earlier this year.
The issue kept him sidelined for a few weeks but he returned to training and played in the Cats’ Community Series win against the Bombers.
At the time Cameron described the issue as “minor”.
