Skrobalak case adjourned again over voice evidence

A former Torquay Football Club premiership coach accused of threatening to kill a former teammate has had his case adjourned for a fourth time because of missing voice identification evidence.
Adam Skrobalak, 32, of Grovedale, appeared in Geelong Magistrates’ Court this week on charges of threatening to kill, harassing a witness and recklessly threatening injury.
But Skrobalak’s solicitor, Michael Vines, asked the court to adjourn the case because he was still waiting for the prosecution to make available voice identification evidence.
Mr Vines argued that the evidence was crucial because Skrobalak had allegedly made threats on a witness’s telephone voice mail.
Magistrate Ron Saines extended Skrobalak’s bail and adjourned the case until April 17.
