Police hunt alleged car rammer

A Lara man allegedly rammed three police cars before speeding off on Tuesday, according to investigators working to track him down.

Police obtained a warrant for the arrest of 20-year-old Jack Hall in relation to the rammings on Tuesday and released images of him that evening.

About 11.45am on Tuesday police spotted two stolen vehicles, a red Ford Mondeo and a Mazda CX5 on the Princes Highway in Corio.

As officers attempted to intercept the red Mondeo about 12.15pm in Leonis Court, Corio, it rammed a police vehicle, police alleged.

A female occupant of the car attempted to flee on foot and officers arrested her at the scene, police said.

Police believe a man who was also an occupant of the car then stole a silver Ford Mondeo from an address near the collision.

Police attempted to intercept the silver Mondeo on Blair Court Norlane, and again on Separation Street, North Geelong.

The silver Mondeo rammed police vehicles on both occasions, police said. No officers sustained injuries as a result of the collisions.

The silver Mondeo was last seen on the Princes Freeway heading towards Lara, police said.

Police recovered the Mazda CX5 from Ulladulla Street, Norlane, they said.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said the investigation into the rammings was ongoing.

Police released images of Hall, who they said usually resides in Lara, on Tuesday evening.

They urged anyone who sighted any of the vehicles, or who saw Mr Hall or had information on his whereabouts, to phone Triple Zero (000) immediately.
