Retro vision for city’s fashion trendsetters

Swinging: Carmel Reid shows off some retro style. Swinging: Carmel Reid shows off some retro style.

Editorial
Retro has become the latest fashion statement in Geelong, according to the region’s new lifestyle magazine.
The spring edition of Geelong Coast (GC) features three local women at the trend’s cutting edge, including Carmel Reid.
“My home is full of retro and vintage pieces. Having this stuff around is like being a kid again,” she told GC.
“It reflects a much calmer time and happiness for my husband and I. It was such a simple, beautiful time.”
With 92 glossy pages of local stories and photography, the second edition of GC is chock full of colourful people, places and products.
Feature story subjects include Catriona Rowntree’s family farming life at Lara, on and off-screen couple Paul Grace and Sarah Moore and the day royalty had a punt at the Geelong Cup.
GC is available at local newsagents.
