Police search for sex offender

Geelong police are hunting a registered sex offender who breached his reporting obligations by providing a false address.

Police today released a photo of Ricky Wilson, 23, in hope of tracking him down following the breach.

Wilson could be going by one of several aliases including Rangon Edwards, Rayon Edwards, Ricky Dean Edwards, Rangon Wilson, Ricky Dean Wilson and Ricky-Dean Aliwishes Wilson, police said.

He is about 160cm tall, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes, and has a number of distinctive tattoos.

He has ‘Kiarra’ written on his right wrist and ‘Mum’ on his left wrist, as well as ‘Drew’ on his right upper arm.

Police knew Wilson to frequent Geelong, Norlane, Corio and Richmond, and urged anyone who sighted him to phone Triple Zero immediately.

They urged anyone with other information on his whereabouts to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
