A man wanted by police for theft and ice-related offences was one of two men who died in a crash at Norlane on Sunday night.
Police received reports a Ford Territory ran a red light at the intersection of the Princes Highway and St Georges Road about 11:50pm.
The Territory hit a Commodore sedan travelling west on St Georges Road, killing the 46-year-old driver Grant Rankin.
Mr Rankin failed to appear on bail at the Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 31 March 2017, for offences including possessing amphetamine and motor vehicle theft.
The 30-year-old driver of the Territory also died at the scene, while paramedics took the 37-year-old male passenger of the same vehicle to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police diverted traffic at the site of the crash but have since reopened intersection.
