Lotto $3 million waits for mystery winner

A Newtown store has sold a $3 million lotto ticket sparking a search for the winner – whose identity remained a mystery on Monday.
The lucky Geelong resident or visitor was one of seven division one winners across Australia in a $21 million draw on Saturday, but had yet to discover the-life changing news.
The winner purchased their ticket from Newtown Lucky Shop on Pakington Street and had registered their details with Tattslotto.
But the details were out of date so officials had no way of breaking the news to them.
Tatts spokesperson Bronnie Spencer urged Geelong residents and visitors who entered the draw to check their tickets.
“Imagine not knowing you have won more than $3 million,” she said. “It’s the type of news you would want to hear straight away.
“We hear from players who have discovered unchecked tickets in all sorts of places, from hiding in plain sight on the fridge to inside the glovebox of their car.”
