Teens charged after police pursuit

Police have charged a 15-year-old girl and 19-year-old man with a string of offences after a pursuit Saturday morning.
Officers received a call of a suspicious vehicle in Swanston Street at 8.15am and went to investigate a blue Holden sedan.
The two people in the sedan drove off in an attempt to evade arrest, police alleged.
Shortly after, the car collided with a pole on Latrobe Terrace and stopped in Fenwick Street, before the occupants attempted to flee on foot.
Police alleged the 19-year-old occupant then tried to steal another car.
They charged the man with offences including reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, carjacking, theft from a motor vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle and driving while disqualified.
He was due to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Monday 10 April.
Police charged a 15-year-old girl with multiple theft of motor vehicle offences. She will appear at Children’s Court at a later date.
Police alleged the pair was involved in a number of incidents around Geelong, including a vehicle being driven erratically from Geelong to Melbourne on Friday.
