MOTORCYCLING Australia has claimed success after recent a Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal ruling on McAdam Park.
Motorcycling Australia boss David White said he was “delighted with the determination”.
But the community group fighting expansion of the facility, Barrabool Rural Protection Group, also hailed the VCAT ruling as an “important victory”.
VCAT ruled that extensive building and track works at the motocross complex were unlawfully completed without planning permits.
Mr White said Motorcycling Australia would apply for retrospective planning permits for the existing work and buildings early this year.
Mr White said he welcomed the decision as a “positive step forward”.
