Ute driver carjacked

Police are hunting for two men after a carjacking involving an elderly man in Norlane on Monday.
Two men approached a 76-year-old Norlane man driving a ute, who had stopped at the intersection of Station and Forster Streets at about 2pm, police said.
One of the men opened the passenger side door and climbed into the vehicle.
The second man opened the driver’s side door, pulled the elderly driver from the ute and demanded he hand over his wallet.
After taking the man’s wallet the two men drove off in his vehicle. The elderly man was not injured but was very shaken, police said.
Police were yet to recover the stolen green 2007 Toyota Hilux tray, which has the registration 1BX-4DK.
Both men were wearing black hoodies, with one offender described as about 175cm tall, skinny and aged in his thirties.
Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stolen car.
They encouraged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
