Hunt for pair after arson attack

Detectives are hunting arsonists who attacked a property in one of Geelong’s most-affluent areas.
Victoria Police this week released surveillance camera video of the incident, around 4.30am on 7 March in Skene Street, Newtown.
The images show two men pull up in a yellow utility shortly before a fire in a garage at the residential address.
A police Facebook post said the blaze “fully engulfed” the garage and “completely destroyed” a Ford Territory and an Audi vehicle, both of which were parked nearby.
“Two unknown offenders” were responsible, police posted.
Police believed the two men in the captured on camera “may hold valuable information that will assist the investigation”.
If you have any information you are requested to contact Detective Senior Constable Croswaite and the Geelong Criminal Investigation Unit on 5225 3100 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
