Taskforce Echo detectives charged a man on Thursday as part of an investigation into alleged drug trafficking by people with links to the Geelong chapter of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang.
A 25-year-old Whittington man, currently in custody on unrelated matters, was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of ecstasy and will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in June.
As part of the ongoing investigation, Taskforce Echo detectives have so far charged 10 people with a range of offences including drug trafficking, cultivation of cannabis, prohibited weapons and possess proceeds of crime.
Police said investigations into outlaw motorcycle gangs and their activities would continue.
