Thieves take trailer with $250,000 in cycling gear

A trailer containing $250,000 worth of cycling clothing and accessories was stolen in Corio in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of an enclosed trailer, with NSW registration TA65DC.
The trailer was attached to the owner’s car which was parked in a motel car park near the Station Street intersection of the Princes Highway.
Two men in a silver Toyota LandCruiser arrived about 4.50am, detached the trailer from the owner’s car, attached it to the LandCruiser and drove out of the car park towards Station St.
The trailer was enclosed with a canvas cover and contained around $250,000 worth of bicycle clothing and accessories, trading during the Cadel Evans cycling weekend.
Police said they were releasing images of the LandCruiser and contents of the trailer in the hope that someone may have information on its whereabouts.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report to crimestoppersvic.com.au.
