Police appeal for help in cracking liquor store theft case

Geelong police have appealed for assistance in identifying a thief who struck at Dan Murphy’s Corio liquor store on Monday at 3.15pm.
Police said the man entered the store, picked up an unopened case of 12 x 700ml Jim Beam bottles worth $450 and ran out of the entry gate.
The man ran to a black Holden Cruze with stolen registration plates ZIF-144. Police said the same male and car were allegedly involved in other offences in Hoppers Crossing in October.
The man was described as a tall, medium built, Caucasian male in his late 30’s or mid 40’s with brown curly hair under a black baseball cap, wearing black hooded jacket, jeans and runners.
