A 35-YEAR-OLD man under hospital guard faced court yesterday on a multitude of charges relating to armed robberies across Geelong.
Police immediately processed and charged Mark Allwood afrer he left University Hospital Geelong on Wednesday night.
He fronted court on three armed robbery charges, one count of false imprisonment and one of attempted robbery.
He was remanded in custody yesterday to face Geelong Magistrates Court again on 18 December.
Police arrested Mr Allwood in Corio St, Geelong, on Tuesday night before he was taken to hospital with medical issues.
Police allege the charges relate to an armed robbery at a home in Geelong West on Monday afternoon.
They also allege he threatened staff with a gun at a car dealership in Moorabool St, South Geelong around 3.50pm the following day before stealing a Colorado ute.
Mr Allwood, of no fixed abode, then allegedly attended a pharmacy at Labuan Square, Norlane, almost an hour later and stole cash and drugs from staff at gunpoint.
Police said the ute was later recovered in Norlane about 5.50pm.
