Girlfriend trouble after police seize two cars from Geelong teen

A NORTH Geelong man’s girlfriend will think twice about lending him her car again after he had both their cars impounded within two days.
State Highway Patrol police pulled over the 19-year-old man in Bartlett Crt, Corio, about 3.15pm Thursday.
The officers gave him a drug test that allegedly returned a positive sample, which will be subject to forensic testing.
The man was also found to be driving while disqualified, so police impounded his car for 30 days.
The following day highway patrol members pulled over a red Honda Accord without number plates on Thompson Rd, North Geelong.
They found the same man behind the wheel of his girlfriend’s car when they spoke to him at 8.45pm.
He again allegedly returned a positive oral drug test sample and was driving while disqualified.
Police locked up the vehicle, leaving the man with some explaining to do when he returned home to his girlfriend.
Police expected to charge him on summons with driving while disqualified and other driving-related offences.
