Geelong’s cold snap has failed to deter the region’s criminal element, with another spate of overnight burglaries and thefts in the last two days.
Thieves raided a business in Fyans St South Geelong in the early hours of Tuesday and stole a car used in a ram raid attempt at Stihl Geelong a short time later.
They followed up with another attempted burglary at Gyprock Trade in nearby Crown St.
Grovedale business Sandman Bedding had a roller door forced and two beds stolen, while thieves escaped with a laptop from the Geelong Canoe Club rooms.
Cash was taken from a register at the Little Green Corner Café in Lt Ryrie St and Lucky Phil’s Milk Bar in Manifold Heights had the front glass door smashed and donation tins stolen.
A white Mitsubishi tradies van containing power tools was taken from outside the owner’s house in High St Belmont while two cars were broken into in Virgillia Sq Corio.
Police asked anyone with information about the offence to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
