Oh Bhoy, Danny returns to GPAC

The pipes are calling: Danny Bhoy performs in Geelong next week. The pipes are calling: Danny Bhoy performs in Geelong next week.

ERIN PEARSON
Comedy could easily have become history for comedian Danny Bhoy.
The Irishman told the Independent that before finding his feet on the stage he tried studying a degree in history before “getting fired from every job for messing around”.
“I should’ve gotten into comedy earlier,” he said.
“I really enjoyed making groups of people laugh but I thought people just did comedy in their spare time, like Pilates. I didn’t know I could make a living out of it.”
Bhoy’s career path was set when he entered his first solo show at 2001’s Edinburgh Fringe festival.
Bhoy said he was now looking forward to returning to Geelong with his latest show next week.
“I’m a big Cats fan, so Geelong’s a bit of a favorite place of mine.
“I finished my 2009 tour in Geelong and really had a good time down there.”
Bhoy performs at Geelong Performing Arts Centre on March 4.
