A MAN masturbated in front of female commuters on a train travelling from Geelong to Melbourne, police have alleged.
Victoria Police has issued an image of a man they want to interview about the 28 April incident.
A police spokesperson said the women sat opposite the man after boarding the V/Line train at Marshall about 6.30am.
“During the hour-long journey the man was seen touching himself inappropriately and stopped when the women noticed what he was doing.
“He got off the train at Southern Cross Railway Station. One of the women managed to take a photo of the man on her mobile phone and contacted police when she arrived in Melbourne.”
The spokesperson described the man as Indian in appearance and aged in his 30s.
He was wearing glasses, a black hooded jumper with white writing and carrying a tan backpack at the time of the incident.
Police urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers by phoning 1800 333 000 or visiting crimestoppersvic.com.au.
