THE Geelong Advertiser’s circulation has continued falling, according to Audit Bureau of Circulation figures for the June quarter.
The bureau said the Advertiser’s average circulation for Monday to Saturday was down 9.2 per cent to 24,950 compared to the same quarter in 2013.
The Advertiser’s Saturday edition has tumbled from 41,578 in June 2012 to 35,575 June 14, or 14.4 per cent over two years.
Year to year, June 2014 compared to June 2013, it fell from 38,747 to 35.757, or 8.2%.
The Advertiser’s Monday-Friday is similarly down over the two-year period, by 15.2 per cent, dropping from 23,699 to 20,100.
From June 2013 to June 2014, the Monday-Friday circulation fell 8.9 per cent from 22,057 to 20,100.
The Advertiser’s Saturday rate of decline has moved from 4.4 per cent year-to-year in June 2012 to 6.8 per cent in June 2013 and to 8.2 per cent in June 2014.
The Monday-Friday rate of decline has moved from 5.2 per cent at June 2012 to 6.9 per cent in June 2013 and to 8.9 per cent in June 2014.
