POLICE are winching a missing kayaker to safety near Indented Head.
Police have been told the kayaker, a man aged in his 50s left Elwood to paddle towards Portsea this morning.
It is believed the man struck trouble in the shipping channel near Portarlington when he called police just before 10.30am.
Water police, air wing and coast guards located the Elsternwick man in the bay near Indented Head.
