The side suffered a cruel blow when a mistake cost it a 0-1 loss to Moreland Zebras in National Premier League on Saturday.
The only goal was in the opening minutes when the Warriors defence failed to clear, allowing Moreland’s Nick Symeoy goal when his shot deflected into goal off the legs of Frano Saricin.
The Warriors’ frustration of recent weeks re-emerged, raising the ire of referee Perry Mur who rewarded Moreland with free kicks.
Warriors forward Reardo Luka was tireless in his attack on the ball, almost drawing his side level on 25 minutes when he dribbled past several defenders only to shoot over the goal.
Moreland defended in numbers, with Symeoy up front drawing the saves of Saric in a solid game.
With minutes left in the half, in-form Luka worked a cross to find Mark Paleka only to draw a fine save from Alex Stojanovski.
The Warriors pressed hard in the second half, breaking the defensive lines of the Zebras to earn a gilt-edged chance that went begging when Michael Boyar blasted high in the box.
Robert Zadworny imposed himself with Luka to maintain ascendancy but chances went high or wide.
