Daylight saving ends this Sunday at 3am.
People should turn their clocks back by one hour when they go to bed on Saturday night.
Daylight saving will also end in South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
CFA recommends that when changing over the household clocks, it is a good opportunity for people to also change the batteries in their home smoke detectors.
Daylight saving will resume at 2am on Sunday 5 October.
