NATURE has inspired many an artistic mind to create masterpieces, but Angair wants homeowners to see nature as the masterpiece.
Angair – standing for Anglesea Aireys Inlet Society for the protection of flora and fauna – will host its annual wildflower show and art exhibition on 21 and 22 September.
Attendees can enjoy spectacular displays of indigenous flowers, free guided wildflower walks and bus tours, art and craft exhibitions and stalls, and purchase indigenous plants.
Angair volunteer Ellinor Campbell encouraged parents to bring their children to participate in fun activities, including making nesting boxes, insect houses and potting plants.
“The annual show is an important education tool,” Ms Campbell said.
“The next protectors of the environment are our children and they love learning about the area where they live.”
The show offers attendees the opportunity to swap an environmental weed for a local plant., encouraging gardeners to incorporate indigenous flora.
The Angair Wildflower Show and Art Exhibition will be held from 10am to 4pm at Anglesea Memorial Hall.
