PEOPLE with impaired vision will have “trial walks” with guide dogs during a special visit to Geelong.
Seeing Eye Dogs Australia (SEDA) said it would bring the guides to Vision Australia’s Belmont office so attendees could learn about SEDA’s “life-changing work”.
SEDA said training each dog cost more than $30,000 but the organisation received “limited” government funding.
“As the only national provider of seeing eye dogs, SEDA is committed to offering its services at no cost to the client, which makes community support and education vital to its success.”
SEDA said it would visit on 4 September, with registrations available by phoning 5249 2700.
