Women no longer skirt success

NAIVETY plus belief – those were the two ingredients behind Rebecca Martin’s success in creating her own three-store home wares and clothing brand.
“When I started I was so young. I just jumped in and did it,” Rebecca confesses.
“I absolutely believed in it though. I guess if you believe in it you just jump in and do it because you’re never going to know.
“I’m not going to sit back with a whole lot of what ifs.”
Rebecca is one example of three in the current edition of Geelong Coast Magazine (GC) demonstrating successful women in business.
Along with medical practice manager Megan Somerville and Geelong Football Club board member Diana Taylor, Rebecca is showing the way for young women in breaking the glass ceiling.
The trio are featured among GCs 92 glossy pages filled with local stories and images by the region’s best writers and photographers.
GC is available now at all good local newsagents.
