Buckets&Bouquets

Bouquets to The Authentic Gardner’s Meredith for a creative design and advice to suit my budget and garden style. She has given me a beautiful, easy-care and often-admired garden.
Happy Gardener, Ocean Grove

Buckets to a Mythbusters episode screened on SBS at a time when children could have been watching.
The program conducted an experiment on movie gun sounds and had a table full of live ammunition and weapons, which I found disturbing. I’m sure many would agree Mythbusters could perform other demonstrations.
Anonymous, Corio

Buckets to a woman who took out her anger on a tiny dog at Torquay Farmers’ Market on February 2. She used threatening words to the bewildered dog and forcefully tugged on its leash. I hope she seeks help rather than take out her problems on innocent beings.
Jodie, Waurn Ponds

Buckets to a radio station for stopping Fast Money on Fridays. I would much prefer Fast Money than some of the other station’s other games. Please put it back on.
Ex-Player, Highton

Bouquets to the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at BreastScreen for their care, compassion and support. They made a difficult situation much easier to tolerate. We are lucky to have this wonderful facility in Geelong.
Kim, Highton

Bouquets to everyone who looked after escapee pup Jeffrey on a very hot Wednesday. You we all very helpful and it was much appreciated. Big thanks to my neighbour for keeping him cool and safe.
Massively Grateful Owner, Corio

Bouquets to a lovely lady at Ohako Japanese Sushi Noodle Dumpling Bar for getting up at sparrow o’clock on a Sunday to make fresh sushi for my fourth birthday party. She also made me two of my favourite avocado rolls and a bonus.
Finley, Geelong

Bouquets to the person who handed in my wallet at Otway Fly and to the staff and police who returned it. Such generosity of spirit capped off a great visit to this world-class facility.
Don, Indented Head

Buckets to Caroline (Buckets & Bouquets, February 8). What are you, a motorist or some kind of bird? A sign flashing messages in “bright colours” should not distract you from driving. I hope I never encounter you near traffic lights. Maybe you should consider handing in your licence.
Watching The Road, East Geelong

Bouquets to two lovely people. The first was a man at Leopold who pulled over and checked why my car engine was steaming. The second was a Belmont lady who offered me a cold drink on a hot day as I waited outside her house for my lift.
Grateful, Highton

Bouquets to Mitre 10 North Geelong’s Anthony for excellent customer service when I was looking for plastic door strips. His employer should be proud of him.
Jennifer, Corio

Bouquets to all who contributed to Geelong Community Reef, From Craft to Coral. Facilitated by Geelong West Neighbourhood House, this stunning exhibition highlighting our fragile marine ecology will be at Shearers Arms Gallery, 202 Aberdeen St, Geelong West, from 16 February to 16 March.
Craft And Coral Lover, Geelong West
