A BELL Post Hill woman fears she could become a victim of internet sleaze after a peeping Tom filmed her in the shower.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, said the man filmed her on a mobile phone camera through a bathroom window.
Corio police were called out twice over the incident and sent out patrols, she said.
The woman was unable to make a positive identification on the stalker.
Neighbours later told the victim the man was seen running away and had jumped over their fence.
The woman told the Independent she had been repeatedly checking uploaded clips on You Tube and other video-sharing websites after the incident.
“I’ve put in the word shower and everything else and have not come across it yet but I fear it’s somewhere on the internet.”
The woman said she saw the man’s hand holding the phone up to her bathroom window about 9pm on AFL grand final night after returning from a family day at Skilled Stadium.
The woman had since been leading a neighbourhood campaign to flush out the stalker, handing warning flyers to residents.
“It was only when I looked up when I was getting out of the shower that I spotted him,” the woman said.
“The phone was silver and it had a green illuminated screen, which is what drew my attention.”
A mother of three, she was also concerned her five-year-old daughter had been caught on film earlier in the week.
“I don’t know if he was there then or if he came back,” the woman said.
“The window is now completely covered but I would be more devastated if my five-year-old was on the internet.”
The woman said she had suffered many sleepless nights since the incident and was still listening for noises outside the family home.
The peeping Tom had prompted her husband to buy an extra lock for the back door and forced the family to lock all windows.
