West joins Give Geelong Breakfast

Geelong’s favourite breakfast is back this month with a very special guest.

The Give Geelong Breakfast, a major fundraising event for Give Where You Live Foundation’s Give Geelong Appeal, will feature well-known Australian actress, author and advocate Madeleine West as guest speaker.

The annual event raises funds for the foundation’s grants program to support food security, homelessness assistance and inclusive employment across the wider Geelong region.

Give Where You Live chief executive Zac Lewis said that the foundation was delighted to

welcome Ms West to the well-loved breakfast.

“The Give Where You Live Foundation exists to create a fairer community and drive positive social change,” he said.

“Madeleine’s message of resilience and empathy strongly aligns with our aims to support fairness and equity in our community.”

“As a published author and sought-after presenter, Madeleine will bring insight, warmth, and advocacy to the Give Geelong Breakfast stage, while sharing her experiences of facing adversity and building resilience.”

Ms West said she was honoured to be part of the Give Geelong Breakfast.

“It really is humbling, and I am honoured to be asked to spend time and share my story with everyone in Geelong” she said.

“The Give Where You Live Foundation is an incredible organisation, and proof of how acts of understanding, empathy and kindness cost little but for the recipient are priceless. I look forward to sharing my story with you all.”

The Give Geelong Breakfast will be held from 7am to 9am on Thursday 19 March at the President’s Room, GMHBA Stadium. Visit givewhereyoulive.com.au/events for tickets and more information.
