A psychiatric patient has died, with another patient under police guard, following an incident at a Geelong mental health facility
Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an alleged altercation at a hospital on the corner of Myers and Swanston Streets on 23 February.
Emergency services were called to the incident at about 2am where the body of a man, who is yet to be formally identified, was found inside a room at the facility.
Another man, who is also a patient at the hospital, is currently under police guard, and it is believed that both parties were known to each other.
