Man charged following charity tin theft

Bellarine police are appealing for assistance in finding a second man following the alleged theft of a breast cancer charity tin in Leopold.

It is alleged that two men attended the pokies area of a Kensington Road venue at around 3.30pm on 11 November, when they allegedly stole a charity tin containing over $150 in charitable donations.

A 22-year-old man has since been charged with theft and bailed to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 3 December, with police continuing to investigate the incident.

Investigators are appealing for the public’s help to identify the second male and have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
