Suspects identified in Grovedale incident

Police now have two suspects in an incident involving an attack against an Indian family in Grovedale.

Aziz Rahman, his wife, and their three young children were verbally terrorised by two seemingly teenage boys in the late hours of July 20, which concluded with a rock being thrown through the family’s window.

A Victoria Police spokesperson told the independent that police now had two suspects in the incident, but that one had not been arrested or charged, with investigations remaining ongoing.

The spokesperson also said the matter, which Waurn Ponds Police Station was previously managing, is now being investigated by Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives.

A family friend of the family told the Independent that the family installed three cameras around their home following the attack.

Anyone with information to assist with the investigation is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
